Zhou Hao's “Ms. on the Fringe” began to be solid. A young girl was proven to be skating on a dim ring, ending her routine and stopping proper skating at the entrance of the digital card. The nominal lady is Jiang Ning (Zhang Qifen), a fierce skater who has been doing it within the coach’s frustration interval. Can mom/coach grow Zheng to make her daughter motivated?
Although the film does not make a passable decision to these threads, the time the audience spends on consideration is often comforting. However, Zhou's characteristics lose the narrative edge in a series of chaotic twists and turns. Everyone seems to reach a profound, important ending and “stumbling” subversion to enhance their thriller desires.
Nevertheless, “Edge Lady on Edge” provides what is lacking in the coherent narrative in the visuals. Visible storytelling sticks in memory: full of attractive photos, which means. Jiang trains on casting-like equipment, as if she is in a cage, or like a larger physically manipulated puppet doll. The blue ice rink and dance golf equipment Jiang and Zhang live seem frustrating, acting as the reality of every dream and nightmare. The skating scene is full of rigidity, and each fall and turn renders a close-up of the face and skates dramatically. Photographer Yu Jing-pin creates an attractive visible atmosphere for these characters. Additionally, all three main actors are masters of shutting up. They will keep their bodies properly and say a lot.
“Lady on the Edge” guarantees a psychological drama about mom and daughter. It loses its means in trying to disclose the internal turmoil of its role. As an alternative to staying in touch with the character, it turns it into a messy flashback, explanation and unsatisfactory resolution. Week's photos remain; if only scripts can be maintained.
