She is the queen, he rushed up Rupaul's resistance race Leaving the world, chanting her name-twice. Now, Vanessa Vanjie Mateo On the face, on the body and in all fantasies. Marco Ovando' Doll Roll 3the latest chapter in his famous Drag photography series, arrived in September.

The latest book in this new book, Mark’s Acclaimed Series, celebrates the art of global drag. In addition to the legendary queen, Vanijie,,,,, Violet chachki,,,,, They areand aquariumMarco also turned the lens into some Resistance RaceRecent breakthrough stars, includingMan Nymph wind,,,,, morphine,,,,, Jenny's planeand Lana j'rae. “This volume still highlights legend, but also introduces new faces that are redefining artisticity,” Marco said.

Doll Roll 3 It is divided into four different chapters: “Studio”, which shows exquisite portraits; “Show”, Werq World Tours and stages, including Drag Race Live by Rupaul!; “BTS”, which provides rare glimpses behind the scenes; and “gatherings”, which celebrate nightlife from underground clubs to red carpets.

Known for her unapologetic personality and iconic Sass, Vanjie brings her unique charm to a book that not only captures Drag’s artistic nature, but also elevates it to the height of high fashion. Additionally, this busy queen will bring red carpet reality to cities near you at Werq The World Tour.

We caught up with Vanjie and talk about being part of this bold new volume, the magic behind the shooting (and madness), preparing for Werq The World, and what Drag in 2025 means.

The first thing is first. What is your reaction when Marco asks you to be a part Doll Roll 3?

I'm very excited. I love Marco. He is one of my close relatives and dear friends. He has been a super friendly person who provides comfort since I joined the WERQ world and he is just a lovely person. So when he asked me to do the third volume, three were my lucky numbers – my birthday was October 3 – I didn't hesitate to tell me whenever he told me, or if he wanted me to be part of anything. I feel like we are a tightly weaving family at Werq World. We all take care of each other, so his project is mine. His book is mine, who doesn't want to read in such a fierce book?

You are on the cover of the book, too. How did you react when you find out you want to be on the cover?

[Marco] Never told me he until [the book was] In small factories for manufacturing. I was stuffed. I mean, it really touched me. It's hard to say what he means to me, what he puts me on the cover is so sweet. This is one of the reasons people will enter your life. He put me on the cover of something he was passionate about, he was a talented man. So, I thought at the time, my little old man was on the cover of the book. Thank God, this is a book without words, so I don't have to read it!

He took pictures of me. That was what I took All-stars He took all my pictures for all my pictures. On Instagram, everything he and me are with me Resistance Race travel. So he put me on the cover, he chose that photo and I was blocked.

Marco describes the book as being more stylish. What was your shooting like and how did you prepare for it?

Honestly, I was one of them when it comes to taking photos and stuff. I can't really sit, it's not my favorite thing, but with him, he's one of the people who help me. He knew the creative way to get me to sit down and take photos. But we're kind of collaborating, and he put it together. He and I always text back and forth with Inspo and mood boards. He was completely creatively involved and came up with all these concepts. It's always nice to have a guy who works in the industry, and he's almost like a Google. He has a lot of references, he is able to come up with something he knows will translate and help me get whatever atmosphere I want to spread. These are two creative crazy people. Sometimes, that's what children want.

This book has both drag legends and fresh faces. How does it feel to be part of the legendary category now?

Child…I can't believe it. I feel like Auntie even participated in part of this book and I was finally able to be the one who provided advice and helps the coach, just being someone who could take photos and provide all the knowledge and experience through the tour. I helped them feel a little relaxed and I appreciate that because many older people and everyone who did this before me were people who did it.

So I can go through knowledge and wealth, even just a shoulder…you know, sometimes it’s enough to just go through any process with someone. It must be something that each other relies on.

The book explores both an art form and a cultural power. How do you see your resistance develop in that space?

I mean, I feel like I’ve had a lot of journeys as a queen and I’ve learned a lot from traveling and becoming so many talented people. You can’t help but evolve, just transform and grow into an artist as a person.

You see everyone pulling up the world, the world is always good, and the people I've been working with are most of the people in the book. Everyone is the expert they bring, so you can’t help pushing yourself. We are all creative people inside us, and that pushes you. You know, resistance is a personal thing, so of course, you want to be the best person and the best person and push yourself. So, seeing how everyone can explain different things on a tour or in a photo shoot can make it more disgusting, as they say.

Today, resistance is more impactful than ever. Do you think you are part of the conversation? How do you incorporate style into your performance?

I mean, I'm not a person who sticks out my horns, so I'm a little embarrassed when I have to talk about myself and all of that. I think this is the obvious thing that drags on all the time there. Resistance has always inspired celebrities. It's even more obvious just now because they're contacting our same designer and ask you – to put it there – we paid the actual price. I don't think celebrities do this. I just want to say that. We actually paid the full amount and I got it. We still have a way to go, but I think that's always there. It just didn't make it to the forefront.

Now that we have all these forums and Instagram, you can see all the inspiration inspired by Drag. All of us look up to never imagined that we would touch our shoulders and even work with those around us who knew our names. So now it's kind of verified because you know, I feel like people always feel like they're inspired by drug queens and celebrities, but now it's like finally being recognized, we're doing our big ones.

If someone sees you Doll Roll 3do you hope they stand out from your image and the entire book?

I hope when they see me in the book, I hope it will meet people who are related to me, know me, from the islands of Puerto Rico or from anywhere they come from, and they see that everyone has hope. I think that's why this book is so disgusting – everyone has a representation. I just want to inspire young people and give them a beacon of hope.

I think sometimes that's beyond us. I can't say it out, but I know I feel like I'm doing the right thing, which is why I'm lucky to have these people around me who can help me be what I should do, do what we should do, and it's to help us see ourselves in me and the little kids of other girls.

How does the rehearsal take place for World Werq?

Kids… As I said, I’ve been doing it for a long time, so I learned to have fun with the girls, smile, laugh and chiki because I used to be stressed and tried to be a country of rhythm through rehearsals, but they’ll be busy. Many of us tried to make the show go smoothly. It's a lot of work, but there's always a reward and you just roll with your fist. So rehearsals are like they should… crazy.

I know you play Rihanna on the show. How do you guide Rihanna in the show?

Ah, I mean, she has always been one of my inspirations. I think I've been watching her videos and stuff since I was a kid, so I feel like I'm just guiding her from a little kid watching videos and all the creative juices. I just paid tribute to her and brought all her amazing music together. She is also a small island, so that's why it's a beautiful thing to play Welk in the world that you can achieve your dreams.

The Werq world will enter 48 cities. What is it like to stay in touch with fans on a massive night like this?

So amazing. I mean, we can see all kinds of fans and then we are here with a bunch of different girls you meet. You know, when we do a solo show, you meet everyone who comes to meet you, but you introduce yourself to someone who might not be a fan or anyone else. So it's amazing to see all the fans who love the show around the world, even in small places. Sometimes we end up in places I like, girls, are they watching here dragging it? So we can meet everyone around the world. This is a blessing.

It's amazing, you can meet people who love the same things as you. Just like you build your own small family. Every time we get together it's like a little party because a lot of people just come back and after they see us for a Halloween show, come and see us and they'll come back again and they see us for that. Like a family. Even those who come to see us are. So it's fun, they're great fans, even those who make crazy comments. We love you too!

Now, you've been a meme, your performance is so memorable and you have your own date show. What are you going to conquer next?

Hopefully there is another show, I hope. And I don't know, I try to make a living every day because if I plan too much, I feel anxious. But I hope there is more TV, keep talking and keep working. I just want to see what will happen after that. When I post, stay on social media and I will tell you. Everyone will be the first to know, but the sky is the limit, and I think half of what we do is more we even imagine. So we'll see what's going to happen the next year.

I would love to see the second season of your dating show.

Honestly. Yes, I want to say that because I've been talking to one of my friends John. He's always been my agent and I thought at the time, I thought maybe it's time because with the first one, putting myself there was a lot of things, but I felt like, no, I might be ready to do another one, maybe not for 24 hours. Maybe we do like things like “A month with Vanjie” – because if you can last for a month, then we might work.
