Your Favorite Drag Queen Favorite Drag Queen's amazing Sasha Colby is on the road again – this time, she's doubling it up. Stripping II Journeywhich started on September 16, 2025, is a 30-day trip to North America based on her snatch-up success in 2024.

As the proud trans idol of the mainland Miss Mainland in 2012, Sasha not only brought the performance to the stage. She brings empowerment, authenticity and cultural reverence. As her Sasha Colby hairstyle flourished, the voice literally looked (see: “Feeling the power”) and symbolic travel is more than just a show. This is a statement.

We caught up with the iconic winner of Season 15 Rupaul's resistance race Touring, legacy, and what it means to be stronger, louder and deprive her of the truth.

Congratulations on the Split II. How does this new tour build on the energy and information of the last tour?

On my last stripping journey, my intention was to empower others through my vulnerability on the stage and empower people when I leave. This time it's a completely different show. It's different stories, different costumes and numbers, not like the first show, like I've gone from kids to my life Resistance Race. So now we take you to another fantastic world because this world is crazy right now and I feel like we need some celebration and breathing when we are all protesting and fighting for our rights right now. So that's what we want to bring, we bring you into these really different dimensions, really different worlds and different numbers, and hopefully this time inspiring everyone to feel creative.

You are known for your amazing visuals and powerful storytelling. What can fans expect from this stage of experience?

Well, I mean, it's definitely visuals and great storytelling. This is indeed the foundation of my show and something I like to bring. There are many different outfits and more visuals. I still keep it in this deprived world where you can still use your imagination, but we have added some new elements and I am happy to live in these different female prototypes, truly tall female prototypes like vamp and the Siren, goddess, goddess of goddess – all of these places we can escape and find similarities.

From the first tour, were you excited to come back to have a city? If you want, you can say Atlanta!

I mean, Atlanta is fun and ATL always takes care of me. Atlanta certainly. New York is great. Chicago, I used to live there. Seattle is also the second one, Los Angeles is great, I went to Hawaii again. All of these cities are special, but I'm happy to see some different cities like going to Las Vegas and hitting Florida. This time, I went to Orlando and many Midwest towns where I once lived. I'm glad to spread the word stripped.

On the first tour, you combine local artists with your show, and you do the same with II of II. How important is it to you to promote local artists on the show?

I mean, it’s not just giving back, but it seems natural, because I get the chance from the drag artists and trans singers I look up to, who see something different and will give me some special reservations or take me on a trip or take me with my wings.

So, the only thing I felt appropriate was to give me what I got – because that's not really what I'm, it's another gift from another talented performer. I can go through all of this, I'm really good at spreading history, fostering people after me, letting them know why we're doing all this – not only on TV shows, but also not?

There are more eyes and more followers now. I love my fan base. I really have a lot of people from the mainland and people from my beauty pageant era, they have always been followers and have always been support systems. Then, now Gen Gen with ZS is wild, you know, Twitch and Twitter and all ZS. As a millennial, it's wild and rare to be cool for the Gen Z population.

How do you balance entertainment with advocacy, especially when traveling?

You know, I didn’t overwhelm me when we were working on this show and trying to figure out the story I wanted to tell because I couldn’t help but point out the negatives without much. We can see this online, we can see this on the news and everything, just trying to get back into humanity. I think that's one thing I think we can do now.

I think people who have always been queer and artists have always been people who do this – just like Vietnam and hippie sports and Beatniks. I mean, there is always this counterculture happening, and we are in another counterculture. And I think that something that is always a connection is creativity and community. Everyone creates a safe space. They create art and music. They create protests and hear them and provide this space for the community. That's all we need to do is remember that at the local community level, we really have the greatest strength.

What advice will you give to young new artists?

You know, just remember why you drag. If you want time in the spotlight, make sure you have something to say and make sure it’s worth listening. Really consider this because it's an art and the good thing is that you don't take yourself too seriously, but you take art seriously and you really know it's more than just a superficial thing. This is something that can really connect you with your creativity, queerness, and the intersections you happen to have.

You mentioned that you were going back to Hawaii, Honolulu ended its first striptease and Family Stretch Record. What does the whole circle feel like at this moment?

It's actually really cool to be there and be able to have it. With the documentary, you are in travel mode and it's hard for you to stay in the gift, so I can review it and be happy. This is really a big hurry. Once the tour is done, you won't really remember a lot of things, it's great to look back at the documentary and really see the importance of going back to Hawaii and how I need to go home, especially on my first trip, share this story with the people I live with – all the good and bad. Those are my friends in Hawaii, so this is really special.

What does a house mean to you now since you started your career? What has changed in this situation?

You know, I always considered myself a citizen of the world. I've always wanted to travel. That's always something I need to do, I don't know what I'm going to do, and it happens that dragging allows me to do that. I'm a real history nerd, I'm a travel nerd, I love to learn different civilizations, so being able to go to all these amazing places and seeing what I read, research or watch online really opens up my world.

Seeing all the people who love resistance and all these different countries, I would never imagine people knowing my name or knowing what drag is…and thinking to me, like this means to me, like this queer edge art, you have to sneak into the club to see something called Drag, you have to wait to watch on Friday night and have access to it. It's really crazy because it's almost like my little baby. As I wanted to discover, the world can experience it now. It's definitely like a large machine now.

Side note, since you mentioned it, what are your favorite places to go?

I must say Madrid. I just made Madrid. I love Berlin. Those two are really stand out. Everyone is happy in Madrid. Their quality of life as well as naps and snacks. I just like it. Everyone is sweet.

You've expanded the empire Sasha Colby Hair. How do you view the growth of beauty brands in the beauty market?

So, we start with the ponytail. We start with 28 inches and have different colors in a variety of colors. Then we expanded to 36-inch and 40-inch ponytails. Now, we have expanded to extend the clippings, and they have seven of them that you can fill the entire hair with this goddess' hair. It's not just a ponytail. Now you can have long, luxurious hair. In fact, we will do a lot of different hairs. Look for some wigs and some lace front. We just make a nice one-stop service for your hair needs.

What do you want fans to remember most when they come from now on Sasha Colby?

You know, to accomplish all my achievements and want to know a lot of things I want to accomplish in my life…but in the end, I really want people to remember that I was kind and being a good friend and a good person in the community.
