Tazbah Chavez schedules NBC's single-camera comedy pilot at Native American Community Center type Have learned it.
The pilot's cast includes Jana Schmieding, Bobby Wilson, Wes Studi, Rachel Dratch, Frankie Quiñones, Eddie Spears, Brian Bahe and Sienna Tso. In March, it was alongside the cheerleader comedy pilot “Noble” at the NBC pilot.
The official log line for the project states that it is an “entrepreneurial comedy set up at the local community center in Oakland, California.
The pilots are from writers Serra tellers Ornelas, Jackie Keliiaa and Wilson. All three are executive producers, and teller Ornelas will serve as the exhibition host. Morgan Sackett will also execute the product. The studio is a general-purpose TV station, with tellers Ornelas and Sackett both in the overall deal.
Chavez's directed pilot returns her with the cast and several members of the creative team on the show as she previously worked on the show “Rutherford Falls” and “Reserve Dogs.” She wrote and directed multiple episodes of two shows and was the producer of the latter and co-executive producer, sharing the Emmy nomination for the 2024 Best Comedy Series. Her other credits include “Resident Alien,” “Accused,” “Sex Life” and “College Girls’ Sex Life” and “College Girls”, as well as the upcoming “Dector: Welling to der: delly to der of der: delly to der of der: delly to der of der: delly to der of der: delly to der of der of der and derry and to derry and” and “the and the of the ny the of the ny the of the of the of””.
She was rejected by 3 Arts, WME and Hansen Jacobson.
NBC's current comedy lineup is pretty slim, including just the multi-camera “Happy's Place” and the simulated genetic “St. Denis Medical”. “Nighttime” and “Lopez vs. Lopez” were recently canceled on the broadcast network.
