A parachuting plane carrying 15 people steered from the tip of the runway and hit directly into the wooded space in New Jersey – causing many injuries.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, at least five of the 15 passengers on the Cessna 208B were taken to the hospital and an accident occurred. The Gloucester County Emergency Management Department’s workplace calls the crash a “mass casualty incident” on its FB.
The National Transportation Safety Commission incident reported that when the pilot returned from her fifth parachuting, the plane walked off the runway throughout the touchdown.
According to the NTSB report, the flare appears to be insufficient, the nostril touchdown gear collapsed, and the aircraft caused significant damage to the engine architecture.
CBS Information experienced the plane’s concerns in a July 2023 incident in Suffolk, Virginia.
The FAA is investigating the crash on the spot.
