Mubi is about to acquire Lynne Ramsay's “My Love” rights in the United States and on many different territories, reaching a deal of more than $20 million. The film, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, premiered Saturday night at the Cannes Film Festival, with a six-minute standing ovation.

The acquisition marks the main major sales in Cannes in the past 12 months. “Die My Love” is based on the novel by writer Ariana Harwicz in 2017 The Same Identification, a brand new facility for a mom who goes into mental illness after despair after giving birth. Ramsay’s adaptation of “Death, My Love” is about the role of Lawrence in rural America, the character of Lawrence, a lady with only one child, plagued by love and insanity, which her husband (Pattinson) seems to have forgotten. It marks Ramsay's introduction to the 2017 thriller “You're by no means really yours,” which is Ramsay's comeback, starring Joaquin Phoenix and earning the best script.

In a press conference on the movie Sunday, Lawrence reflected her mother and her personal expertise in postpartum. “I just gave birth to an eldest child and there was nothing like postpartum,” she said. “It's very isolated…excessive tension and despair overly isolated. You feel like an alien.”

“Die My Love” is made by the glorious corpse, Black Label Media and Sikelia Productions. Producers support Justine Ciarrocchi, Jennifer Lawrence, Martin Scorsese, Andrea Calderwood, Molly Smith, Trent Luckinbill and Thad Luckinbill.

Mubi is at the Cannes Film Festival with Joachim Trier’s “Sensual Value”, Akinola Davies’ “My Father’s Shadow” and “Historical Past of Voice” at Cannes Film Festival, a love story paired with Paul Mescal and Josh O’Conconnor’s Red Partner, one of the many highest films in the pageant. Mubi's Cannes premiere is Kelly Reichardt's heist thriller The Matstrind, played by O'Connor, a major manufacturing industry it has developed and fully financed.
