Prosecutors are calling skilled witnesses Didi Trial, a medical and forensic psychologist, is telling the jury why victims are in abusive relationships, coping, the obstacles they face when they leave, and the trauma of their memories.
Dawn Hughes I picked up the stands Wednesday morning because the eleventh Witness was called by the Federal Reserve. Prosecutors are introducing her as a skilled witness, her trauma and traumatic stress is professional.
Hughes told jurors that it was quite frequent for victims to maintain abusive relationships…Explained that there are various mechanisms that make the victims really feel trapped and not only retain physical violence.
She testified that sexual abuse has caused victims to work to eliminate relationships or search assistance… Due to the non-public nature of abuse… they usually feel really ashamed, humiliated, degenerate, don’t want to talk to others about it, consider a lot less.

Hughes mentioned in the stands that funding is another obstacle… telling jurors that women who depend financially on the abuser may have more durable time to leave.
Hughes testified that it is often necessary to try multiple times to get the victim to finally start abusive relationship…and a sample of return and reconciliation. She mentioned that some victims do feel they can come back to their colleagues’ great role models again and they still love.
She told the jury’s “traumatic bond” could be a deal between the patient and the abuser…this could give the patient a troublesome time to leave because of caring and kind abuse.
Victims who testify against Hughes often develop coping mechanisms to care for abuse and to numb with drugs and alcohol. She mentioned that victims were to attend for months or even years, rather than telling anyone about the abuse they suffered.
She informed the jury victims that memories may also be dispersed by trauma… Although they keep in mind the gist or core of abuse, none of them can recall every particular time or element once abused.
Didi Protection Lawyer Jonathan Bach Then he began to cross-examine Hughes…he asked her about maliciousness and if the individual could react emotionally, Hughes replied, “They will.”
Cassi Prove in advance the physical abuse she suffered in Didi's palm…she or he told the jury that she felt trapped in a relationship and that they had a break earlier than the last time they called the exit. Others testified that they noticed Didi abused her, Cassie told them that she could not leave because Didi managed her music industry and paid for her home, cars, and gave her stipends. Prosecutors are using Hughes’ skilled testimony to articulate and relate some of Cassie’s testimony to her performance in her relationship with Didi.
Didi's protection hasn't eschewed domestic violence stories yet, but they claim there is a DV on each side.
