The French distribution rights of Simón Mesa Soto's “Poet” have been purchased to the Epicenter Movies in the film, which is in an uncertain part. Luxbox is handling world total sales.

“The 'poet' is a quick 'coup de coeur' for us! It's pure poetry in the cinema service,” said Daniel Chabannes and Corentin Sénéchal of Epicenter.

The drama was filmed in Medellin, Colombia, following Oscar Restrepo, whose obsession with poetry has no glory. He gets older and he succumbs to the poet's cliché in the shadows. Yurlady is a teenage woman with a humble root and for her domestication, her expertise has made his days a little gentle. But dragging her into the poet's world might not be that way.

“The Poet” is Mesa Soto's second feature film Amparo, which was offered in Cannes Critics Week in 2021 and won the Louis Roederer Foundation Rise Star Award by actor Sandra Melissa Torres.

Each of his short films, Mom (2016) and “Leidi” (2014) competed in the Cannes Film Festival and “Leidi”.

The producers of “The Poet” are Juan Sarmiento G. and Mesa Soto of Occaultimo, Colombia. Manuel Ruiz Montealegre in the media for curb production in Colombia. Sarmiento G. can also be a photographer of the film.

The cod is Katharina Bergfeld, Heino Deckert (German jaade novel); David Herdies, Michael Krotkiewski (Swedish commemorative film); the movie IVäst (Sweden); and ZDF Mini TV Game/Arte (Germany).

The forged one was led by Ubeimar Rios, Rebeca Andrade and Guillermo Cardona.
