Netflix’s “Infinity” and Hulu’s “Paradise” lead the list of winners as the affiliation of African-American film critics reveals its annual AAFCA TV Honors, as well as its TV High 10 list and its 2025-specific achievements winners.
At the 7th Annual AAFCA TV Honors held on August 23 at the Roosevelt Resort in Hollywood, “Paradise” can be awarded the best drama and the greatest actor (Sterling OK Brown), while “The Endless” can be recognized for the best new gift, the best writing and the best director.
In addition, Sony Lens TV Chairman Keith Le Goy will receive the TV Pioneer Award; Disney-branded TV Prexy Ayo Davis will receive the Honor Award; her own TV Chairman Tina Perry will receive the visionary plan; writer/producer Mara Brock Akil will also receive the Legacy Award. Actress/comic Michelle Buteau will receive the Trail Blazers Award; producer/director Nneka Onuorah will receive the 2025 Horizon Award; actress and writer Denise Nicholas will receive the 2025 TV Idol Award.
“Our winners are the heartbeat of the TV business,” said Gil Robertson, co-founder and president of AAFCA. “As the leisure community has once again discovered its foothold in the political and cultural panorama, and in the transformative political and cultural panorama, this honorary class embodies stable modern management, which is important for moving the business ahead.”
