Disney Experience Chairman Josh D'Amaro said he was not involved in NBCUniversal's large epic universe theme park to reduce visitors to the Disney World Resort in Orlando – the fact is that he believes the open rate of rival resorts would help increase attendance.
“We've been on the offense…we've been investing in the long term and strengthening one of each theme parks,” D'Amaro said on Wednesday about the epic universe at the Moffett Nathan Media, Network and Communications Conference.
He continued: “If a new thing was built in central Florida (such as the Epic Universe), it would attract new guests to the area, and that vacationer went there. have Go to the Magic Kingdom. ”
The common epic universe officially opens on February 22, 2025. As part of the 750-acre improvement, it will be the largest of three theme parks in Orlando, including 50 experiences with over 50 theme worlds: Harry Potter’s Wizard World – Ministry of Magic, the giant nintendo nintendo World, the best nintendo and Nintendo Word, your dragon –
D'Amaro also hyped Disney's plans to open a brand new theme park in Abu Dhabi, which was the last week. He is famous at Disneyland in Anaheim and will be flipped for 70 years in this 12 month. Abu Dhabi Park will be the company’s seventh theme park resort – so, he said, opening a brand new park is a decade of determination.
“We know the demand for Disney products around the world,” D'Amaro said. The workforce is concentrated in the central eastern region and eventually settled in Abu Dhabi. He said one-third of the world's residents are within a four-hour flight radius in Abu Dhabi. “This could be a crossroads in the world,” he said.
Disney has not provided a timeline for the development or target dates for the brand new park. The challenge was developed in partnership with Miral, the manufacturer of immersive and experience in Abu Dhabi, which is funding for Disney to build a park under license. Disney may have creatively managed and supervised Abu Dhabi Park, saying: “The seaside resort may be located in Yas Island, a world-class leisure and leisure resort that connects holidaymakers from the East and Africa, India, Asia, Asia, Europe and the past.” The brand new park will “combine Disney’s iconic story, characters and attractions with Abu Dhabi’s vibrant traditions, gorgeous coastlines and breathtaking structures.”
D'Amaro said the resort in Abu Dhabi could be “the most superior and interactive resort in our portfolio” and the environment “will allow us to inform our stories in completely new ways.”
Disney said in 2023 that capital expenditures in Disney experience enterprises raised $60 billion in a 10-year interval, almost twice as much as earlier. D'Amaro said when CEO Bob Iger returned to the Chiefs in November 2022, he agreed that Disney had plenty of room to grow the theme park business. “Josh, we have to turbocharge this business,” Eagle said in agreement with Damaro.
“We scrape the floor by telling our own stories only,” D'Amaro said, noting that Disney Parks can only build sights, mainly based on a wide range of films such as “Coco” and “Black Panther.”

D'Amaro may be one of the internal candidate boards of Disney Commission, as Eagle's successor's contract ends in 2026. The company's board is led by Chairman James Gorman, whose board of directors said it expects to announce a CEO for the next 12 months.
D'Amaro started his career in 1998 at Disneyland Resort. During his 27-year career, he has served internationally and domestically in management positions across the company alongside Disney Customer Product World Licensing, Chief Industrial Officer of Walt Disney World Resort, and a variety of corporate planning, technology, advertising and marketing, creative and operational roles. Before becoming president of the Disney Experience, D'Amaro was the president of Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort.
