How did you participate in the Drag Queen Christmas Tour?
OMG. I mean, as a kid, I went on Christmas tours like I did in high school. I believe it is a year-round show. Don't quote me, but yes, I'll go to the show when I'm in high school. I would have my mom drive from the Miami coast to Fort Lauderdale and she would be in the parking lot while watching the show. I met and greeted Queens, which has always been something I went to see. I'm now on the title and touring with it and being a part of it, and it's so complete. I was happy to combine a number for my mom in the parking lot waiting for him to be in his audience because yes, I have to do that.
What is the atmosphere of the Christmas trip on Drag Queen? How do you plan to bring unique glitter?
OMG. I mean, it would be such a happy atmosphere. This will be a big celebration of the holiday. Listen, we'll be there all of us. This will be fierce. I'm glad to put this number together. I've been planning and imagining what I'll do on tour for many years. Actually, I'm actually working hard and I expect my number to be very fierce.
Now, do you feel like you prefer a naughty list or a good one? How will you balance the two?
Listen, the jewellery gleaming is definitely a good list this year, but on the tour we're going to get a little naughty.
Who are you most looking forward to performing with?
Shea Couleé is such a queen. She is such an idol. Actually, she was on the tour, and I went to see it when I went to high school, and I still had videos of her performing from that tour.
She has done a great job in her career, she is an idol and a superstar. She is one of the best and the fact that I'm going to tour with her is very surreal and I can't wait to annoy her. She might ask for a restrictive order because I want her whole. But I am obsessed with her, I love her.
What do you like most about tour favorites and least favorites?
Oh my God, do you love me the most? Meet new people on the way, visit different states and different countries, and see all tourist attractions. I like to watch travel stuff.
I think what I like most is leaving home, my family, my friends and partners, which can be tough. But, you know, the tour was really fun, so I was excited, and it was all new to me. I've been doing it since this year, but I've been dealing with it and I love it.
Do you have your own tradition of vacation?
My father is a chef. He cooks a fierce Christmas and Thanksgiving meal every year. My dad is always a big deal to cook. The whole family came over and we always had a great time.
Do you have your favorite holiday song?
“Mi Burrito Sabanero”, this is…also an Ariana Grande Christmas album. I had to put it there.
Will there be a Christmas album with jewellery sparkling?
Absolutely not. Maybe, I might like things like “La Leche” and cookies, but no, I don't have my Christmas album. You don't want to listen to me singing. I leave it to professionals. I'll leave that to Suzie Toot.
For some, the holidays can be tough, especially in the LGBTQ+ community. How do you think this trip will help create a sense of belonging and celebration?
OMG. I mean, hopefully people can go on tours and meet new people and find people who share with them and build community. That's what I did. When I went to the show, I made friends. I was alone in the audience and had to talk to the people next to me and the people who were gathering and greeting lines, and we all had one thing in common, that was something we were very passionate about. So, hopefully this time of year people can go there to make friends and remind you that you are not alone. Looking around, you are the audience like you. Resistance means the same for all of us, we all have this queer connection and I am lucky to be part of this trip.
Now, aside from tours, without Christmas albums, what’s next for jewelry?
Definitely not a Christmas album, but a lot. I am now very happy to visit the world. It's really exciting to do this. I'm on an Australian tour and I'm going to tour Europe. I'm obviously going to tour Christmas so a lot is happening. Currently, I'm also working on some mini series. So, yes, the gears are grinding and I'm very excited.
