Ed Helms was recently hosted by Siriusxm's “Where Everyone Knows Who You Are” podcast and hosted by Ted Danson, and recalled his seeing “Hangover” for his father and mom, Todd Phillips' Blockbuster 2009 R-rated comedy, paired with Bradley Cooper and Zach Galifianakis. Hulls said his upbringing made movies like “Hangover” a totally crazy alternative to his family.
“I grew up in a kind of repressed southern dwelling. Politically, it's very progressive, but despite that, it's a very conservative atmosphere in society,” Helms said. “So 'Hangover' is crazy. It's not what they raised me to do, in movies like 'the Hangover'.
Helms has become a television star because of his job as a reporter at the “Gift Every Day” from 2002 to 2006, and the “Hangover” perspective has opened in the theater, his “Workplace” started by Andy Bernard in 2006.
“When that movie came out, I used to be 35, even though I was upset with my dad and mom,” Helms joked.
The actor eventually brought his father and mom to the premiere, which was his main position in a huge studio comedy. He remembered: “I was my mother, the lights were rising and he or she was crying. Tears were flowing down her face for a second, and I thought, “Did I just break the coronary heart of my poor mother?” “She said to me, “That's so humorous”, just [gave me] A huge hug. I'll always remember that it was such a special second. ”
Helms concluded: “Hangovers are so critical in my career, and mothers just have to give their all, which means a lot.”
“Hangover” gradually became a popular cultural sensation and earned $469 million in outdoor workplaces around the world, becoming the highest bill of exchange movie at that time. It launched a trilogy, with Helms and his co-stars returning in 2011’s “Hangover Half II” ($586 million worldwide) and 2013’s “Hangover Half III” ($362 million worldwide). Cooper said at 2023's “New Yorker Radio Moment” that he may return to a future sequel.
“I'll probably be 'hangover 4' right away,” Cooper said at the time. “Just because I really like Todd [Phillips]I really like Zach [Galifianakis]I really like Ed [Helms] Many, I'll probably do. ”
Still, Cooper suspects that the fourth “Hangover” film has stood out, just like the “Joker” film, which has entered the higher price range studio fare due to the results of Todd Phillips, author and director Todd Phillips. Because the actor said, “I don't think Todd would try this.”
