“Chimp” star Tonia Haddix – a Missouri girl who once forged the demise of her beloved chimpanzee, Chimp Tonka – is in hot water again… this time, she's in prison.
The 55-year-old unique animal dealer was arrested after the ruling for evading a court case order to repay $224,000 in authorization charges. But when police raided her residence, they found another hidden chimpanzee living in her basement.
Authorities said in court case files that Haddix secretly hid “mature female chimpanzee” in a makeshift fence filled with blankets, Gatorade, a Gatorade bottle and half-eat sweetness. They safely eliminated the apes in a shocking search earlier this month.
The brand new chimpanzee discovery isn't even why HADDIX dragged it to prison – however, prosecutors are actually using it as ammunition to maintain her lockdown until the August 7 verdict.
It all came a few years after Haddix pulled up wild stunts, forging the demise of Tonka to stop him from being taken to the shelter. He was later found alive.
Haddix's husband is allegedly trying to delay officials throughout the house and he may be arresting.
