American film and media company Buffalo8 has obtained the global distribution rights of “Lord Kurson Kee Havily” (Lord Kurson's estate), marking the major Indian feature film to preserve the company's flag in North America.
The Dark Comedy Thriller, which represents Actor-Filmmaker Anshuman Jha's debut, caught distributor consideration throughout the European premiere held by Belgium's Razor Reel Flanders.
Buffalo8 is the company behind Spike Lee's “Rodney King” and Netflix's “Conversation with the Killer: Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes”, which sees the acquisition as part of its broader technology to expand its stylistic footprint to global markets.
“'Lord's Manor of Lord Culsson' is a fascinating story that bridges cultural and historical narratives with a single perspective,” said Grady Craig, president of Buffalo8. “The junior director effectively blends the black comedy and thriller genres, a rare blend of Indian cinemas. We're excited about the way the film resonates with a variety of audiences.”
Hitchcockian pays tribute to the selection forged with global Emmy nominees Arjun Mathur, Rasika Dugal, Paresh Pahuja, Tanmay Dhanania and Zoha Rahman. The film combines suspense, satire and social commentary in a mysterious ritual supper in London.
“We are excited to be in contact with Buffalo8 North America launching 'Curzon Ki Haveli',” said director Jha. “They are committed to a bold, unique sound and genre cinema that makes them the right house for this movie.”
He added: “'curzon ki ki haveli' is a very unique film expertise, which is a challenge that challenges how India sees films in films and reshapes how Indian films are seen as globally globally. Buffalo 8 is approaching the board of directors than just a acquisition; it is a strong re-recognition, a strong re-recognition, a bold, unique concept and unique story that occupies a place in the world stage at the world stage.
Not long ago, Lord Curzon Ki Haveli, produced by Golden Ratio Films, the first ray film and Adya films, received certification from the Central Certification Council of India (CBFC) and is expected to be released after this year. Other distribution details coming.
