It's a painful moment for fans boy–Anthony StarrThe man who brought Homelander to life officially bid farewell to the iconic character, as filming in the final season was over. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Starr reflects on the character and what the riding means to him.
He wrote“This complex character makes space and scope discover and push boundaries in ways I never thought of, and I will forever be grateful for the experience.” He also did not back down when giving credibility, calling series creator Eric Kripke’s creative “co-parents” and added: “We created a monster…I will miss him, and you. You. Until last season, we will launch in the last season. But when I see you. But the chapter of this creative is closed, I will miss it, brother, brother.”
As a dark and seductive figure of Homelander, Starr repeatedly plays one of the most shocking, fascinating revelers in TV. He called the experience “a highlight of my career” and praised how the character pushed him in an unexpected, creative direction of rewarding.
Although filming for the series has been closed, the journey is not over for eager viewers: The Boys' final season is expected to drop sometime in 2026.
